This pen is used for drawing and marking on leather that you are working on.

In general, when you are making, for example, a bag, you first have to draw a map of the bag on paper and then draw with an awl by tracing that paper map out of the leather. But drawing with an awl sometimes does not work on some types of leather - hard or thick-coated.

In that case, you can definitely used this pen on those leathers instead of an awl!

However, you must test on a sample of the leather you want to work on before you begin drawing for a full portion.

The limitations of this pen are that it can be easily removed by wet tissues and there may be some types of leather that you should not use this pen. The practicality depends on the type of leather.
